This post is short, sweet and to the point. I felt super compelled to share this message with you because I feel we ALL need this powerful reminder:
Yes, opening yourself up to other people can hurt at times – not everyone will accept you for who you are and not everyone will like what you feel or have to say. It will help relieve the sting if you acknowledge that fact from the get go. BUT, when you connect with others who do “get you” and accept you for who you TRULY are… life becomes meaningful. Your world changes. That human connection is inexplicable. If someone makes you feel dumb, criticizes who you are, or has a false perception of who you are… let them! That has nothing to do with you. Keep it moving. Don’t ever lose your authenticity. Use it as a test to keep in line with your character. YOU ARE NOT DEFINED BY OTHERS. Start embracing who you are. It’s the most liberating feeling in the world.
