The ABCs in Reverse!

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.” – Pablo Picasso

As kids, learning the ABCs was a way for us to develop reading skills.  As adults, the ABCs can be a way for us to stay motivated as we develop through our life experiences!

But, let’s have some fun working toward our goals and use the ABCs in reverse… the CBAs!

C – Courage.  After you decide you’re ready to set a goal, courage is a must.  Without courage, you’re setting yourself up for failure and run the risk of giving up as soon as the going gets tough.

B – Belief.  After you muster up the courage to set a goal, you have to be very honest with yourself.  Ask yourself, “How much do I believe in me?”  There will be many times when your self-confidence is the only firm foundation you have.  Be your biggest fan!

A – Action.  So, you’ve got the courage and you’ve committed to believing in yourself.  Now, it’s time to act!  I love the quote, “The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are,” (John Pierpont Morgan).  An idea will remain an idea until action is taken…bring it to life!  And, keep in mind, you will have to adjust your sails while on your journey.  It’s not about keeping your path the same – rather, staying consistent on your path and consistent in taking action toward your goal.  Action, action, action!  You can’t stare up the staircase and magically appear at the top.  You have to take consistent steps.

Let’s make it happen!
