Finding Your Keys

Find a Passion and Pursue itSo, you lost your car keys…again!  After searching for them for so long, you’re at your wits end, only to turn around and see them sitting clear as day on the kitchen counter – in front of your face!  Have you ever encountered this situation or one similar to that – where something you’re looking for is right in front of you?  Life is funny that way.

Purpose (defined by Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary) – Something set up as an object or end to be attained : intention

Let me ask you this: what’s your purpose or “intention” in life?  Stumped?  Believe me, you’re not alone.  This is a journey that I’m still on, so let’s walk through it together!  Now, I know that my purpose is to inspire others.  However, I’m still figuring out how to execute that purpose the best way possible.  You may ask, “How do I find my purpose?”  Stay with me here…

Passion A strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept

Now, let me ask you this…what’s your passion in life?  What do you find yourself naturally gravitating toward?  What could you devote your time to without it feeling like a chore or hassle?  THAT is your passion.  Guess what?  Your passion IS your purpose!  Find what lights your fire and gives you that uncontrollable energy.  Your purpose is right in front of your face, just like those lost car keys!

First, start with pinpointing what your passion is in life. Then, start mapping out some direction for how to channel that passion and create something great.  At that point, you will begin living with purpose.  Once you find your “keys”, you can drive anywhere you choose!
